To mark CROWNEARTH Week 2023, our staff got involved in the following activities: This year CROWNEARTH Week was aligned with National Recycling Week, putting a larger emphasis on how to divert waste from landfills and repurpose instead of throwing away. Last week at Crown we celebrated CROWNEARTH Week – an annual event where we come together to consider how we can be more environmentally conscious in our personal lives and our operations at Crown. We are excited to embark on this journey together, and champion road safety at every turn. We look forward to working closely with them to continue building awareness amongst our team.

Our CEO Ciarán Carruthers recently sat down with five-time MotoGP World Champion, Mick Doohan and Managing Director of Driver Safety Australia, Russell White to launch this partnership. This will see us roll out a range of resources, training and events to educate our team on the important role we play in keeping our roads, communities and each other safe.

Our new partnership supports this approach and represents a critical pillar of our workplace health, safety and wellbeing strategy. At Crown, we’re working together to take a proactive approach within our communities to protect our team and guests, and drive positive, sustainable change. We all have a responsibility to keep our roads safe, whether we’re motorcycling, driving, biking, or walking. Given the ongoing popularity, we wanted to make it well known that Wednesday night’s Gas Brigade show would be the last for an indefinite period.ĭuring the suspension, we will be continuing our review of the Gas Brigades operations, which includes exploring options to enhance sustainability of the display.Ĭrown Resorts is proud to be partnering with Driver Safety Australia for a 12-month campaign to support and educate team members on the importance of road safety. The Gas Brigade shows, which shoot the world’s largest fireballs into the sky and run every night on the banks of the Yarra, are one of Melbourne’s most popular attractions. Whenever prevailing weather conditions – gusty winds and/or extreme temperatures – force us to cancel the nightly shows we often receive feedback from visitors disappointed to have missed the spectacle. Nevertheless, we thought that given the current demands from Victorian households and business that a suspension was the right thing to do.
